My name is Charles Hood and this is my blog. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I live near Atlanta, Georgia where I work as a Systems Engineer for Brocade. I came to the company by way of the McDATA acquisition, and I’ve spent the past 7 years focused on storage networking. I’ve also had some experience with the storage side of storage area networks, having previously held positions at both EMC and Xiotech.
These days I have a passion for social media; I’m active on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Feel free to engage me in conversation 140 characters at a time @charleshood. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I have a penchant for science-fiction novels, with some of my favorite authors being John Scalzi, Orson Scott Card, David Weber and John Ringo. I’m thoroughly perturbed that flying cars are not yet a reality.
